Whitney Grider Ellis

Whitney Grider Ellis was born and raised in Jamestown, Kentucky. She is a 2014 graduate of Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a Professional Writing Concentration and a minor in History. Whitney graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2017. She resides in Lexington with her husband and child.
Prior to joining McVay Martin Shepard, PSC, Whitney had the honor of clerking for Fayette Family Court Honorable Judge Traci Brislin. During her time clerking with the Honorable Judge Traci Brislin, she gained vital knowledge and experience in all aspects of family law.
Whitney practices primarily in the area of Family Law including: divorce, custody, paternity, visitation/timesharing, child support, domestic violence, dependency neglect & abuse actions, termination of parental rights, and adoptions. Whitney also serves as Court-appointed counsel for parents and children in abuse and neglect Court.
Whitney accepts cases in Lexington and surrounding counties.
